History and Style
In the mid 1980’s Thomas Gundorph began using second hand clothing to combine and make individual original pieces. The first Junk De Luxe line hit shelves years later and has over time become a leading designer brand all over Europe.
The brand is made up of simple patterns and slight differences setting each piece apart from current trends and styles. Slightly crooked lines or non symmetrical patterns set separate the pieces from the pack. Unusual colors are also combined to set the pieces apart along with inside out collars or different fabric pockets.
The style is largely characterized by the beatnik movement in the US featuring long beards, loose collars, wrinkled and tattered clothing worn by poets and existential thinkers. Each piece, from the t-shirts to the over coats, are designed to be original styles to mix and match rather than conform to current popular trends of clothing.
Junk De Luxe Polos
One of the main types of clothing found in the Junk De Luxe collection are the polo style shirts. These casual shirts come in a number of different styles. The Faron polo shirt has diagonal lines cut down the side in opposite colors. Other varieties such as the Gustav or Ethan polo are available in single colors.
These polos are slim style for a tighter fit but are available in extra large sizes. Aside from the different patterns and colors the polos are also available as short sleeve or long sleeve.
Cardigan Sweaters

The Walt Bel Stripe shirt features a red and white thin pinstripe pattern while the Walt ITA shirt has a tiny checkerboard pattern of light blue and grey. The Very Saga blue shirt has a bib stitch detail and a double shirt effect along with a mandarin collar. All of the long sleeve shirts are 100% cotton and machine washable.
